According to the book Glove Affairs (by Noah Liberman) on page 139, a lady named Jane Homme was given permission by the family of her friend to place a Nokona baseball glove in her friend’s coffin before burial. According to the book it was a Nokona Carl Erskine replica glove which was bought as a birthday present for her friend before he passed away.
